One of the best things about Mexico is definitely the beaches and the atmosphere of this great country that makes beach life absolutely ideal. It is a place that I go back to year after year and I wanted to talk more about the beaches that you can visit there and how you can get the most out of your Mexico beach rentals.
Playa del Carmen
This is one of the most popular beaches along the Yucatan and a great place to relax. One of the best things here is that it is very close to the ruins of Tulum and therefore provides an amazing place to seek adventure as well as relax directly on the beach. The white sand and the crystal blue waters are something that will impress anybody. Another great thing is the abundance of shops and eateries that are very close to the beach. There is no better place to get some authentic Mexican street food. Think tacos and burritos with the best hot sauce that you have ever tried. This is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in all of Mexico.
This is the classic Mexican beach to visit and this was booming long before the likes of Cancun. This was a favourite destination of the rich and famous, such as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and even John F. Kennedy. Acapulco is well known for its live music, great nightclubs and also the beach itself. When you go you can definitely re-live what the stars of the yesteryear experienced!
This wonderful beach is well known for its amazingly blue waters and velvety sandy on an island off the Yucatan Peninsula. While it is buzzing with people, this is the ideal way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland beaches. I would highly recommend hiring a fishing or charter boat in order to discover the 20 kilometre long Mesoamerican Reef that lies nearby. It is a great place to swim, dive and snorkel. I especially love seeing the marine life here, especially all the colours of the rainbow with the tropical fish and the colourful coral. This is a great location for getting outdoors and enjoying every minute of it.
Everybody knows Cancun and its status as one of the most famous beaches in Mexico is almost legendary. This barrier island features crystal clear waters and over 20 kilometres of white sand to top it off. I also love the huge array of outdoor activities here, such as jetskiing. Cancun is just a place built for tourists, especially given that the Mexican government realised from very early on that is a place of huge importance for tourism. As a result of this, it has some of the best infrastructure in the entire world for a tourist destination. The weather is near perfect here and this is just the icing on the cake when it comes to the perfect holiday destination.
